David Klein, Ph.D.
Dave has been in the jury consulting field since 2002. He first worked at a national jury consulting firm, where he quickly rose to become Director of its Jury Consulting Division, overseeing a group of ten jury consultants. In 2007, he co-founded Empirical Creative, LLC., a boutique trial consulting firm that specializes in providing jury research, trial graphics and jury-selection consulting for law firms and corporate clients on their most important, high-risk litigation matters. Dave has served as the lead jury consultant on a wide-range of litigation matters, including securities fraud cases, intellectual property cases, contract disputes, insurance matters, employment litigation, and others. He is a sought after speaker at law firms and corporations on topics of jury-decision making and trial strategy.
Dave has a B.A. in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and a M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from St. John’s University. He is a licensed psychologist in the State of New York. Dave has a long-standing interest in and experience with using social-science research methods to empirically study and understand group dynamics and the relationship between attitudes and behaviors. His academic background in clinical psychology and social science research combined with his extensive practical experience as a jury consultant makes him an invaluable asset to trial teams.
